    Mission Statement

    • Primary: Provide Amateur Radio communications to our served agencies when all other electronic mechanisms fail. Our primary served agency is the Fort Bend County office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management. We also serve several hospitals and municipalities in Fort Bend County. Amateur Radio communications can be internal to Fort Bend County or between the Fort Bend, another County, or the State of Texas.
    • Secondary: Provides Amateur Radio communication among EMROG Skywarn storm spotters, the National Weather Service in League City, the Fort Bend Office of Emergency Management, or by telephone relay the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Department.

    General

        Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is always looking for volunteers to serve the community. EMROG members are highly trained and qualified volunteers will be invited to serve as exercise support to OEM and will aid in various capacities.
        You only have to have a Technician License to be able to join the group and it is not necessary to live in Fort Bend County.

    Join us on Saturday March 1, 2025 at the
    Fulshear Farmers Market for a Ham Radio Demo
    Everyone is welcome to participate, observe, visit or get on the air.

    This coming Saturday we will be at the Fulshear Farmers Market demonstrating ham radio. We will be experimenting with some new antenna configurations on 40 and 20 meters.

    The Fulshear Farmers Market is located at FM1093/359 and Bois D'Arc Lane in Fulshear, Texas. We will be there from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and the market opens at 9:00am.

    Talk in will be on the 146.58 and Crossroads Repeater Link.

    While you are there, don't forget to check out the vendors at the FFM! They have some really great food and stuff for sale!

    EMROG/ARES Dist 1 Nets & Meetings

    This net regularly meets each Monday evening with the exception of the second Monday of the month when we do a face to face at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 307 Fort St, Richmond, TX.
